The Cupcake Girls founder and CEO, Joy Hoover is a force to be reckoned with. Her passion, drive, and determination to serve are genuinely contagious. To pick up, sell almost everything you have and move across the country to found a non-profit in an unfamiliar city is an inspiration.
501c3
The Cupcake Girls is a privately funded 501c3 non-profit that offers non-judgemental confidential support to those involved in the sex industry. Including those affected by domestic sex trafficking through holistic resources, case management, and aftercare. Joy and her team have been serving the Las Vegas Valley for close to 10 years with no plans of slowing down.
Local For All
Launching Local For All, the first of its kind Community-Driven Social Enterprise and Holistic Resource Center has been a true passion project. Local for All will be a safe and inclusive space for clients and the local community. Anyone can shop, eat and work. While clients can receive pro bono and low-cost mental, emotional, spiritual, physical and financial support and resources. Local For All will accomplish this by collaborating with a variety of local community partners, businesses, and individuals.
Subsequently, space will be available to rent in the facility and offer services to clients. Every dollar in revenue goes directly to cover the operating costs of the resource center. Anyone who enters will understand that when they spend money here, they are directly supporting social change in their community. Local For All increases the capacity of The Cupcake Girls and its partners to provide holistic resources to their clients. By providing one physical space where clients can receive resources and through business enterprises, cover operating costs.
Donate & Volunteer
Subsequently, Joy won me over in a big way. During one of our first meetings, she asked if I would like to join her team of volunteers. When you watch this video, you will understand, it is nearly impossible to not fully embrace her vision. I know zilch anything about fundraising or leading a team, but the mission is one that spoke to my heart, so here I am.
